Our math competitions and events are for students in grades K-8. They make math fun for students and families. Whether your son or daughter likes to solve problems or complete various types of puzzles, he or she will enjoy the experience.
During the math competitions and events, parents are encouraged to stay and may attend free workshops on various topics. We also have activities for younger siblings who cannot participate.
The Math Cafe Event is for students in grades 3-5 who like math, as well as solving puzzles and logic problems. It will be held in-person at the historic Cordova Community Center located in Cordova, TN on July 29, 2023, from 11 AM to 2 PM. The registration fee is $40 per child and includes all materials, beverages, snacks, and appetizers.

The in-person Family Math Night event is structured for students in grades K-5 and will consist of 3 stations with beginning, intermediate, and advance levels. Registration is free. Beverages and snacks are included.
The Math Café is a lounge where students chill out and complete math problems, logic activities, puzzles, math games, etcetera. Students are provided with beverages and snacks. All activities are facilitated by a math teacher. The lounge is decorated with fun seating and other cool décor.
Each student must state the correct vocabulary term that is represented by visual images and/or models. First, second, and third place winners receive gift card prizes.
Students can compete individually or as a team. Each student or team has exactly 60 minutes to solve 25-word problems. First and second place winners receive prizes.
The M.A.T.H. Genius Battle is a rap battle. M.A.T.H. stands for Mathematically Astute Through Hip-Hop. Each contestant performs an original rap about a math concept or topic, complete with background music, or he or she can go freestyle without music. First, second, and third prize winners are awarded.
Family Math Night events are structured for students in grade bands K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Grades K-5 will consist of 3 stations with beginning, intermediate, and advance levels. Grades 6-8 will consist of 2 activities that focus on functions. The high school Family Math Night will exclusively focus on an experiment exploring a linear function. Virtual Family Math Night is for grades K-5 for all grade bands (K-1, 2-3, and 4-5).
The Urban Math Palooza is a community or schoolwide event that comprises all of our math events for a day of fun for students and families,
Parents' Math Night Out is a virtual event designed to help parents of students in grades 3-8 help their children with math.
Our math events are a great way to market your retail items or services. Vendor tables are $75 for a full day of events from 11 AM to 8 PM.
